"Hoe laat is het?" is a 30-second short film by director Joop Schumacher, shot in the forests of Friesland as a passion project. The film juxtaposes World War II soldiers with those of today, creating a timeless encounter that underscores the message: “Time doesn’t change war.”

This production was filmed entirely on analog film, demanding precision and intention in every take. For me, it was a very special project as it marked my first acting experience. I played one of the soldiers and discovered how much I enjoy acting—the collaboration on set, the discipline it required, and the power of storytelling.

What began as a one-day project quickly sparked my enthusiasm to pursue acting further and left me motivated to keep exploring this craft.
